At EVOS, our rebrand represents more than just a fresh look—it’s an expression of how we think about progress and the future. When we introduced the hedgehog as our new mascot, it wasn’t simply because he’s charming (though he certainly is), but because he embodies the qualities that define who we are.
Across cultures and through history, the hedgehog has stood for foresight and protection. From ancient Egypt, where it symbolized rebirth and defense, to classical Greece, where it was admired for its cleverness in preparing for the seasons, the hedgehog has always represented wisdom in action. In folklore throughout Europe and Asia, it’s admired for its ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to change—a reminder that strength often comes from preparation and patience, not from aggression or speed. So it’s no wonder this adorable yet mighty creature has endured as a symbol of endurance and foresight—two things we believe define good financial strategy.
There’s also a personal reason we chose this particular mascot for the EVOS logo. Our founder, Curtis Harris, has a family connection to the hedghog—it actually appeared on the Harris family crest generations ago as a symbol of protection and wisdom. We love that link between heritage and meaning; it’s a nod to the hedgehog’s long reputation for thriving through intelligence and resilience.
Our company name comes from the idea of evolution—growing stronger, smarter, and more adaptable over time. The hedgehog fits perfectly with that story.
